LMES County Fair

I am a lucky aunt to a handsome, brilliant nephew Caleb, who happens to be an enthusiastic part of the third grade class at Lake Murray Elementary School.

I was asked to help with their County Fair extravaganza (a field day based inspired by the County Fair from Charlotte's Web, their third grade reading assignment) and ended up taking pictures instead of playing with water balloons!! That's WAY more fun!!

Here are some of my favorites...

It was so much fun to be part of field day again!!

Scenes of Hanover

Two weeks in a beautiful corner of Pennsylvania means two weeks of taking pictures of the phenomenal scenery...

I wish these could really capture the color, the greens and blues, the oranges... sometimes even pinks and glowing whites... the sounds and smells that come along with all the beauty.

But here's my best shot at coming close enough.

Here are my favorites...

I'm a lucky, lucky girl to have such great places to shoot.

Hanover, PA

In April, I got the amazing opportunity to spend two weeks at Hanover Shoe Farms, one of the the largest Standardbred breeding facilities in the country. Aside from witnessing exemplary examples of veterinary courage and tenacity, I had the great fun of wandering around historical Hanover, PA afternoon after afternoon.

It's a beautiful town with a very friendly, rural small-town feel. The people are friendly, the sidewalks are clean and the architecture is so crisp and fun!!

Here are a few of my favorite photos from my wanderings...

You should visit, if you get the chance. And check out the herd of Scottish Highland Cattle down the street... and of course... swing by Hanover Shoe Farms, and catch an eye-full of the beautiful, adorable foals in the Springtime!!

Tell everyone I said hello. :)
