My Secret Garden

When I was a little girl, my sister read pages of Frances Hodgson Burnett's "The Secret Garden" to me before bed... 


... last night, my dear Amanda took me to a brand new secret garden... Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA.  

It was the perfect place to try out my new 50mm/1.8 lens... 

... and it will be the perfect place for a beautiful portrait shoot. Look for those pictures in the Spring.

Family & Friends

Last week was Thanksgiving - it's a rare treat for me to go home and be able to hang out with  my family.  The busy schedule doesn't exactly lend itself to photo shoots, but I sometimes manage to snap a few pictures that really stand out above the rest.  I especially love to take pictures of my sister's children, Caleb and Keppley, because they are both beautiful and so very full of energy and life. The newest addition to the family (my brother's little girl, Avery) is just as photogenic!!

And of course, Charleston SC never fails to disappoint...
